Measi O’Rourke is a mother of five grown children and grandmother of eight children. Her youngest child, Kevin O’Rourke, completed 7th & 8th grade at Saint Mary School when the family was transferred back to the east coast and settled in Ridgefield in 2006. Currently, Measi is the grandmother of 4 children who attend SMS: PK3s, TK, Grade 2 and Grade 4. This is the second year that Measi has served as a member of the Saint Mary School Advisory Board.
Measi and her husband Jamie are active members of St Mary Parish. They are involved in initiating the D4L Retreat back in 2008 as well as the new Marriage Prep program which began this past Feb. 2023. Measi is a Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion.
Measi received her B.S. in Nursing degree from Boston College. After working several years in the maternal child areas of nursing, Measi left clinical work and founded Saint Joseph Parenting
Center (SJPC) in Stamford, CT in 2009. SJPC is a nonprofit whose mission is to strengthen families at risk of child abuse and neglect through parenting education and support. Measi was the Executive Director of SJPC from 2009 - 2019. Now she is a member of SJPC’s Board of Directors and Chairs the Expansion Committee. Measi completed a Spiritual Director Formation Certification program at Fairfield University in 2021. Currently, she practices out of the Murphy Center of Ignatian Spirituality at Fairfield University.
