Step 4 - Shadow Day

We will assess the feasibility of Shadow Days in January 2021, and may replace all or part of it with a Virtual portion.  Our previous process is described below.

Once the application, transcripts and recommendation forms have been received, applicants for Grades 1 and higher move to Step 4 - Shadow Day.  Students will spend the day with their current grade level, going to classes, meeting teachers and students, meeting with our principal, and taking an assessment administered by our Learning Specialist.  Students applying for Kindergarten may choose to visit for a shorter time period, and will take a readiness assessment administered by our Kindergarten Head Teacher.  There is no assessment for Preschool students.

What can we expect from Shadow Day?

At the moment Shadow Days are suspended.  We expect to schedule them in early 2022.

When you schedule your shadow day, we will tell you which uniform students will be wearing, and suggest something that will make your student comfortable.  We ask that you arrive at 8:00 am and pick up at 2:00 pm.  Your student will fully participate in classes and specials that day.  For students applying to Grade 1 and above, our Learning Specialist will give your child an assessment during Shadow Day.
