Welcome from Principal Ambrosio

Have Faith, Work Hard, Shine Bright!

Dear SMS Families,

Welcome to the Saint Mary School. Whether you have been here for many years or if you have newly joined our school community, I hope that you feel like family. What makes Saint Mary School so special? I would say it’s the intangibles. Sometimes difficult to put into words, it’s the feeling you will have when you enter the building, join in on one of our school events or activities such as Trunk or Treat or our Christmas Pageant, or talk to one of our families. It was the feeling I had many years ago when I enrolled my oldest son at SMS. As an alumni parent and as SMS principal, I want to give back to this school community what it gave to my family.

The Saint Mary School experience is the way a school experience should be. Saint Mary School students know that here they are known and loved. We truly care for each child, the whole child, mind, body, and spirit. Our faith guides us and gives us a foundation upon which we build the educational experience. Our faith helps us all to be our best selves with Jesus Christ as our model and to use our gifts and talents to bring out the best in others as well.

Saint Mary School serves students from Preschool through Grade 8. We are proud of our rigorous academic program that prepares students for the next step in their educational journeys
as well as for a lifetime of learning. Our students go on to excel in some of the area’s most prestigious high schools, often earning merit scholarships and taking on various leadership roles. Our teachers are dedicated in their roles as Catholic school educators who are tasked with not only teaching our students their academic subjects, but also with modeling the love of Christ and living out the gospel in service to others. Our parents are active partners in education, and we truly value the school-home connection.

As you consider the next step in your child’s educational journey, I hope that you will consider Saint Mary School. I look forward to meeting you soon.

God Bless,

Rachel Ambrosio
