The graduates and their families were recently surveyed and they provided very positive feedback on how well Saint Mary School prepared them for high school. They attributed the graduates' success to a combination of a small-school environment that nurtures children's individuality and spirituality, a low student-teacher ratio, and a strong academic curriculum. Saint Mary School students felt they had many opportunities to develop their personal interests. Allie Hagan, Class of 2005, said she enjoyed "heading the yearbook." Erica Horsa, Class of 2006, said she was able to "experience different writing styles by reading many different books and by performing in a variety of plays, including Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet and A Midsummer Night's Dream."

Both the graduates and their parents indicated that the students were well prepared for high school, particularly with their experience studying and performing the works of William Shakespeare.  Joan DeGennaro, Class of 2005, indicated that "Saint Mary School gave me the freedom to learn what interested me and the small classes meant that teachers were there to help me develop and improve in those areas."

"Saint Mary's really helped a lot, especially in English, with (studying) Shakespeare."
Mrs. Beth O'Brien, mother of Conor, Class of 2005, and Reaghan, who attended Saint Mary School through seventh grade, said her children were

"well-prepared for high school after attending Saint Mary School. They both have the self-confidence and knowledge needed for the challenging course load in high school."
